Insiders from the Zamfara State government House has accused Gusau Local government chairman Honourable Abubakar Imam for having close relationship with first lady Her Excellency Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal, the wife of the Executive governor of Zamfara State. Speaking on the condition of anonymity on Friday, Several officials and the personal aids of the Zamfara State governor attached to government House Gusau accused the council Chairman for sneaking in to the official resident of the governor whenever the governor is out of the State for official engagement which according to some civilian staff, ” sometimes the council Chairman used to spend more than 3 to 4 hours before he left through the back exit gate.   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is on the trace of different properties worth N500M allegedly linked to Gusau Local Government Chairman Abubakar Imam in Kaduna and Kano States respectively.
