Also recall that he said Matawalle was deceived into joining the APC to get FG’s support against insecurity, to this I will want to ask what is wrong with it. The federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari has been up and doing against Zamfara security crisis even before the governor dumped the PDP. The Farukus should tell Zamfara people and government their contributions over how to address the insecurity or what they did when the governor asked the state’s sons and daughters to come and help his government on how to tackle the problem and where were they when the governor swore by the Holy Qur’an that he has nothing to do with all forms of criminals terrorizing the state and asked all leaders to do the same, has Faruku taken his turn with the Holy Qur’an 1

We at the All Progressives Congress APC, Zamfara State have come across an interview by an erratic so-called secretary of the PDP in the state in person of Alhaji Faruku Ahmad published by the Punch newspapers where he mischievously called on governor Bello Matawalle to resign his position as governor of Zamfara because of PDP’s fears of hundreds percent defeat in the coming 2023 general elections in the state, the APC family strongly believes that PDP in Zamfara has already developed weak feet and defeat fever which they will not escape come 2023

PDP in the state has become a laughing stock by the genuine and courageous politicians who know the do’s and don’ts of winning elections in Zamfara state saying that if a political party keeps calling on a certain political office holder to resign is an acceptance of defeat before the election

This clearly shows that PDP have no political popularity or acceptance that can make them win any post as in the future as demonstrated by many opposition political parties in the country, so governor Matawalle will not be intimidated by the PDP and its leaders’ constant calls for his resignation

They are sad with his leadership qualities and his total commitment to transform Zamfara to its current pride of place with a lot of economic prosperities

The PDP Secretary whose selection was borne out of the absence of qualified persons since Matawalle, the popular crowd puller left with virtually all the good, committed and loyal party members from the PDP to the APC, having realized that they were left with no credible people to form an executive team while time was running against them, Faruku Rijiya became handy to continue taking the burdened party down the drain to its burial.

In his submissions however, Faruku raised some issues that confirmed his comfused compound case of ignorance for saying Zamfara insecurity is now worst than what the Matawalle administration met, this of course must include the over 250 persons killed in one day at Yargaladima as well as Kizara, Birane, Dangulbi, those killed in tens and hundreds, daily kidnappings, cattle rustlings, rapes, desecretion of the Holy Qur’an and the burning of several villages which though were the concern of all right thinking Zamfara people, are now seen as non-issue by Faruku Rijiya and the present crop of PDP leaders in the state.

The PDP desperately wants Matawalle to leave the office of the governor because they see it as birth right, unfortunately for them, the governor’s emergence against how they view it was ordained by Allah and he will do his terms by the special grace of Allah through the people’s God given mandate whether the Faruku’s like it or not. Even when they talk of intimidation, it is now general knowledge that they were the ones using that by insisting through various means such as threats, court orders and of recent, the use of violence and making the state ungovernable as stated by their national publicity secretary.

All that they have to do is very simple, the next round of election is just by the corner, since they claim they can override the governor and his increasing popularity, why must they insist on his resignation.

On the achievements of the governor, this is the person whose efforts, thanks to Allah and prayers by the good people of the state, decimated banditry activities even though he is not in full control of the security agencies, they have given their support and sacrificed their lives in ensuring the restoration of peace in the state. Amidst all these, the governor has constructed several roads and improved the quality of healthcare service delivery and education in addition to the PDP aknowledged reconstruction and improvement of Government House and the JB Yakubu state secretariat among others.

All that Faruku saw was Matawalle never visited the PDP headquarters forgetting that the so-called PDP national headquarters nor his colleagues, then PDP governors showed any worry when Faruku’s kith and kins were masacred and their hard earned wealth utterly destroyed, Faruku and his leaders in the state should send their commendations to their national leaders over this and the fact that ‘if it’s not PDP, there will be no peace in Zamfara.’
