ZAMFARA PDP FRESH GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARIES: SHEHU BAKAUYE, ACCORD PARTY, HEADS TO FED. HIGH COURT GUSAU

All is not well with the People’s Democratic Party in Zamfara as one of its gubernatorial aspirants Engr. Ibrahim Shehu as well as the Accord Party has approached the Federal High Court Gusau asking for an “order interlocutory” stopping the PDP from conducting fresh primary election for the post of Governor on Friday the 23rd of September 2022. The notice of the substantive suite was served on both the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and People’s Democratic Party, the (PDP) Shehu and Accord Party are asking for the court to stop the PDP from conducting fresh governorship primaries; hence the exercise is not in compliance with the provision of section 82(1) of the electoral act 2022 as amended. The supporters of Gusau led by Nasir Ahmed has petitioned the Chairman of INEC and copied the President oc the federal republic of Nigeria and the Inspector General of police and all other necessary security offices in the state. Zamfara Gov Bello Mohammed Matawalle has on Saturday arrived United States of America for an official visit to the States.

Gov Matawalle who accompanied President Mohammadu Buhari, will be attending the 77 United Nations General Assembly UNGA sessions where issues of global interest will be discussed. Matawalle who was in company of his Commissioner for Commerce Hon Yazid Shehu Danfulani will explore business opportunities from the participating countries, particularly in the mining, security and agricultural sectors of the state economy. In renewed dalliance, EFCC Chair, Tunde Ayeni head for Dubai for Undisclosed Mission

  The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, and the defunct Skye Bank Chairman, Tunde Ayeni, are heading for Dubai in the United Arabs Emirate any moment from now.
