Otunba Wanle Akinboboye Releases First Of 52 Tourism Products For The Week

True to his words, Tourism ICON, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye has released DIASPORA NIGERIA ECONOMIC RECOVERY PROGRAM (DNERP) as the first tourism product, out of the 52 products he promised, to release for the next 52 weeks. It will be recalled that Akinboboye had out of the blues two weeks ago, jolted the tourism industry, entire Nigerians and the international community, by announcing that he would be presenting a tourism product for each of the next 52 weeks, to stimulate the tourism industry, locally and globally. Ofcourse the new tourism products personal-challenge by the tourism ICON, attracted immediately attention and reactions of which some doubted the possibility of such a feat, while some, even tourism experts, decided to toe the attitude of wait-and-see! According to Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, Diaspora Nigeria Economic Recovery PROGRAM (DNERP) as a tourism product, is not just a product, but also an initiative designed to revive the ailing Nigerian economy. "This is because we believe the much neglected tourism sector is the lowest hanging fruit, that should be plucked to quickly reverse the prevailing economic downturn of the nation's economy, as revenue from tourism goes directly to the people, the taxi drivers, tour guards, souvenirs traders, hotels and so on, whose impact of tourism can be felt directly and almost immediately. DNERP offers Nigerians, lovers of Nigeria in Diaspora and their friends a template to contribute their own quota of resuscitating the economy by holidaying and investing in Nigeria, thus DNERP is in two 2 distinct categories or packages, that is, Leisure and Business."
