Zamfara politics: governor Dauda Lawal embark on Commissioning former president and Ex governor Matawalle projects to celebrate one year in office.

 


 

As governor Dauda Lawal Dare clocked one year in office, report from Zamfara State have it that, governor Dauda Lawal had approved the  released of   billions of Naira as contract to paint some major  roads and some  projects executed by the immediate past governor of the state His Excellency Dr, Bello Mohammed Matawalle while in office.


Some of  the projects commissioned by governor Dauda to celebrate his one year achievements are  the Almajiries Schools which was built by the former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan when he was in power in each of the Northern States to sync both the western and Islamic learning for the children roaming on the streets for begging across  the Northern States of the Federation and the  Clinics along with primary Health Center in each of the 14 local government Headquarter of the State built  equiped and Commissioned by Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle in each   of the 14  Local government Wards of the State before leaving office last year 2023.


It was also reported that, the projects build by the former governor and recommissioned  by governor Dauda were of good Standard and  in good shape which made some citizens of the State to criticized the governor action, while some described the paintings currently going on as direct stealing of the State meager resources.


One of the sole administrator in the State who pleaded Annonimity  said that, " the numbers of wards in each local government are the numbers of clinic along with primary Health center in each local government Headquarter built and equiped in  14 Local government areas of the State by  former governor Matawalle, but governor Dauda Lawal awarded the painting  contract of each Clinic  and all the primary Health center aross the 14  Local government of the State  at the rate of N250,000,000  without the knowledge of any sole administrator  "the Sole lamented.


It was also learned that, the first Civilian governor of Zamfara State His Excellency Senator Sani Ahmad Yariman Bakura was not happy when he noticed during the commissioning of one of the Clinic built by Matawalle in Bakura local government named after N- G Care in Bakura local government when he was invited by governor Dauda to  commission the structure as his one year achievement in office knowing fully well that N-G Care is not a a State government project but the Federal government of Nigeria.


But some stakeholders in Zamfara warned governor Dauda Lawal Dare to stop impersonating projects commissioning that he knew nothing about.
